I've been following your blog here for a while and decided to de-lurk to let you (and everyone else who was involved with this project) know what a GREAT job you did. WOW!
This has re-energized me to continue my efforts to empower and educate youth and girls in particular. I think the messages relayed in the video not only speak to what's happening in Senegal, but also what's happening in the inner cities and impoverished neighborhoods across America as well.
I'm done waxing poetic. Job well done!
Very interisting movie about the women condition in this african country. This women are very courageous and have managed to extract themselves from the heavy tradition thanks to the school. They don't want to be submissive. Sure this testimony is good example for the young women, to show them there is an other life than stay at home. But it seems there is a long road untill all the women could have the life they want. There is hope and nevertheless things can change.
